In 2002, I took my two young children to a Christmas event, buzzing with excitement for them to meet Santa Claus for the very first time. What we found left us all terribly disappointed, the grotto was grotty, and the Santa left a lot to be desired.
I came away knowing that simply wasn't good enough. Not for my children, and not for anyone else's. So, drawing on a community of actors I already knew, my own background in woodwork and design, and a genuine love of everything Christmas stands for, I set about building a team that could do it properly.
That team went on to receive amazing reviews, and I was incredibly proud to work alongside some of the finest actors in the industry. Over two decades on, there have been many, many lessons learned, and we're grateful for every opportunity we're given. Some of our clients have trusted us to develop their sites for 20 years and counting, and we can't wait to keep that magic going for many Christmases still to come.
At Santa's Grotto HQ, we don't just put on a suit. We are a nationwide UK team of dedicated Christmas artists. We treat the "Santa Hotline" with the excitement and responsibility it deserves.
